Lebanon Casino Operations Continue

Casino du Liban operations in Beirut, Lebanon continues despite the Israeli raids.

The opening hours of the casino have been shortened and it closes at one in the morning instead of the 5:00 A.M.

In the operations last Friday, craters were formed in the road bridge close to the casino.

One employee in the casino said that the casino is feeling down as most of the casino rooms are empty.

One gaming room that offers roulette and blackjack is the only operational and the clients are asked to rent a jacket if they don't show up in proper attire.

Private casino rooms for high rollers were closed down as the high rollers are the first ones to leave the place.

The dancing girls for the summer show are cancelled.

The casino has been opened since 1959 and tried to keep operational during the civil war from 1975 to 1990. But due to damages, was forced to halt operations in the Christian battles during the 1989. Casino du Liban was renovated in 1996 and had attracted millions of high rollers worldwide.

Aside from the casino, another gaming casualty is the Lebanon's Loto that has a current three billion pounds or two million dollars at stake.
